Some companies are ‘going green.’ LBK Designs always has been.

LBK Designs loves our earth!Going green is all the rage these days, isn't it? For us at LBK Designs, doing what's right for our customers and the environment has always come naturally to us, so we've been green right from the start. Here's how.

Paperless billing/bill paying

Who needs piles of paper cluttering up their desks? We don't! We bill all of our clients electronically unless a hard copy is requested. We also pay all of our own bills online.

Eco-friendly website

See that eco-friendly graphic down at the bottom right? That means this very website you've surfed to is powered by 100% wind energy. Our hosting service, a United States Environmental Protection Agency Green Partner, ensures that the servers, data centers and offices supporting our site are powered by renewable energy. Minimalist attitude

Some people like a lot of stuff. We don't. We have the amount of supplies that we need to keep our business running smoothly, and that's all. We have a basic office printer, but rarely use it. We are more likely to send someone an email than we are to give out a business card (one that we designed, of course, so we are proud of it, nonetheless!). This kind of essentials-only approach reduces not only our overhead cost but also our carbon footprint.

Basic recycling

Believe it or not, there are a lot of companies out there who don't have even a basic recycling program in place. We really don't get that kind of mindless lack of responsibility. At LBK Designs, we've been recycling forever. Finished with an iced latte cup from your favorite coffeehouse? Don't need those notes anymore? Did the printer give us 50 extra samples of a brochure? We recycle it all. It brings us physical pain to think of doing anything else with these items. We are all about the recycling bin; we rarely fill a trash can around here!

Mouse-to-mouse communication

While we love to see our current and future clients face-to-face, we don't always have to. We often meet with people at first, and then work primarily by phone and email. So our cars are hardly ever on the road, which means our pollutants are hardly ever in the air.
